A Houston man has been hospitalized with severe injuries after he was pulled from under a METRO bus late Saturday in the downtown area. The incident occurred on South Main Street near Underwood. A Houston Fire Department spokesperson said the victim was extricated after approximately 10 minutes when crews responded to 911 calls of a person being trapped under a commercial vehicle.
The unidentified victim was transported to the hospital’s trauma center with ‘extensive injuries.’ The HFD chief added that the bus was headed southbound when the man stepped out in front of it and was hit. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
